Over 50 artists participating in the 2011 Art at The Source gathered on Saturday, February 26, 2011, to find creative ways to increase their visibility and sales through marketing in the current social network world during a challenging economy.
The panel was comprised of artists in the program who have had proven success in the business of the arts. They engaged the gathering with ideas, brainstorming sessions, and share successes of what works and what does not. They provided a wealth of information and willingness to share.
The seminar included various topics including: Internet Marketing (Guest Speaker), Websites, Facebook, Twitter, blogs, advertising, and much more. They explored designing a professional look in resumes, artist's statement, portfolio, brochures, and postcards. They also discussed selling techniques.
Other topics covered were: studio location, layout, displays, and signage; presentation of work within the studio, and merchandising.Art at The Source
